About Stacy
Wife. Mother. Writer. Artist. Homesteader-at-heart.
Hey, there! I’m Stacy, the mind, heart, soul, and hands behind this blog. This is a tale of chasing lifelong-held childhood dreams, and embracing the adventure hidden in the adversity along the journey getting there. This story starts somewhere in the middle, before the prize at the end of the quest has been won. I have not yet obtained my dream or seen in come to fruition, but that is why I write. I write for myself and also for my fellow daydreamers, the ones who long for “something more”, something of more depth, meaning, purpose, and direction… Something slower, simpler, more self-reliant, and more able to bring fulfilment, peace, hope, and joy into the details of daily life, even if life never ceases to have it’s seasons of opposition. This is my journey to discover how I can create a resilient and sustainable happy life for me a my family, one that we do not need a vacation from, because we learn how to see the world and every adversity through the lens of adventure, and the untapped power of storytelling in daily life. Welcome to my journey towards a real-life Happily Ever After.
